Anu Kulkarni, born in 1975 in Pune, Maharashtra, has crafted a remarkable artistic journey. Her creative endeavors began in 1997 when she attained her Government Diploma in Drawing and Painting from Pune. In 1998, she furthered her artistic pursuits by earning a Diploma in Art Education, and in 2000, she reached a new milestone with a Master’s degree in Painting, all from Pune. Her exceptional talents have earned recognition from the Art Society of India and the Ministry of Culture, leading to her participation in over 20 group exhibitions, both in India and on the international stage.
Anu Kulkarni’s artistic works are nothing short of poetic. As an abstract artist, she wields a knife and roller to manipulate oil on canvas, fashioning soft-contoured abstract pieces that exhibit a profound mastery, a robust command of color and form, and a delicate, almost poetic subtlety in her compositions.
Drawing inspiration from the natural world that surrounds her, Anu Kulkarni skillfully captures the beauty of landscapes in a mesmerizing array of colors. Her paintings resonate with the soulful melodies of the earth. With every stroke, a new symphony of colors emerges, offering diverse harmonies. The suggested forms gracefully materialize from a haze, only to meld once again with the encompassing landscape, be it the red-brown earth or the deep blue and green oceans. Small flashes of white, yellow, or red punctuate her canvases, intensifying the visual drama, while an everlasting serenity pervades all her works, portraying the myriad moods of nature.
