A Warm & Cosy Home Nursery, Vadodara, by Malvika Acharya Designs

“This nursery, formerly a guest bedroom, was briefed to be a comfortable yet functional child-friendly room. The clients’ primary requirement was to have a kid-friendly space with neutral colors and accents of gender-specific color subtly incorporated into the design. Going with the brief, the sage green of the wainscoting, white walls, and other furniture were decided before the baby was born. The accent pinks were added later to add a dash of color.

Another ask from the client was for the existing furniture to be retained and redressed. This led to the TV unit being turned into a diaper changing station and the king-sized bed into a corner play bed. To spruce up the space, a fun rabbit unit was added to store the toys and books. Dummy clouds and bubble pendants were incorporated in the far-right corner of the room above the reading chair to create a cozy look.” shares Designer Malvika Acharya, with the Housethome Team.
