Artist, Samiran Sarkar: “Crafting Masterpieces with a Love for Nature”

Samiran Sarkar, a distinguished artist, embarked on his creative journey after graduating with first-class honors in Visual Arts from the Govt. College of Art and Craft, Kolkata, under the esteemed Calcutta University in 1995.

Sarkar’s preferred mediums of expression are Transparent Watercolor on paper and Acrylic on canvas, where he masterfully portrays his love for Landscape, Seascape, Cityscape, and Nature in a Semi-Realistic style. His passion for art takes him on captivating journeys across different countries and places, where he immerses himself in the unique moods, characters, timings, and environments, capturing the essence of these locations on canvas and paper.

He carries his painting materials to these diverse destinations, creating initial compositions on the spot and later adding his signature style in his studio, often resulting in large, awe-inspiring works. Not only has Sarkar’s art been showcased in numerous National and International exhibitions, but he has also been the recipient of several prestigious awards.

In addition to his artistic endeavors, Samiran Sarkar has shared his expertise by publishing many art books through esteemed publication houses, solidifying his place in the world of art and creativity.
