Designed by Amoeba Design, The Introvert House in Pune is the humble abode of the acclaimed cinematographer Swapnil Sonawane and his family. The home not only captures the inherent aesthetic sensibilities of its occupants, it even makes an instant connection with guests – making people feel completely at home. An earthy palette of off whites, pastels and light browns, complemented by Kadappa and Yellow Jaisalmer make the bedrooms feel warm. The sunken living area has plain white walls painted in Lustre, its semi-gloss finish balanced by the exposed concrete of the flooring. The swing inherited from the house’s previous avatar hangs underneath a new loft where one can unwind quietly. That near-perfect balance of privacy and accessibility make The Introvert House ‘introverted’ as opposed to isolated.
