Designed by Sanjeev Panjabi and Sangeeta Merchant of Spasm Architects this home is all about the trees – detailed within the architecture of the bungalow they form an integral part of the blueprint. Earth walls, expansive courtyards and verdant greenery have been used to combat the stifling heat of Ahmedabad in this luxurious residence. Rust-like Corten steel make up the distinguishable outer shell, while the interiors are dominated by brass and wood. The uniqueness of this beautiful open-plan home is that it lyrically reflects and responds to the lushness all around, where the house is seen as spatial experiences rather than rooms.
