A graduate of the National Institute of Fashion Design in Raipur, Ashu's journey in art extends to London, where she received a certificate from the prestigious Royal College of Art Contemporary Art Summer School. Her artistic evolution has been defined by a unique experimentation with pattern making, which gradually unveils intricate motifs as expansive forms. Primarily employing pen and ink, Ashu meticulously employs hundreds of thousands of repeating patterns and stippling techniques in her creations. In recent times, she has ventured into challenging techniques like paper piercing and thread work.
Ashu's profoundly layered compositions, mostly in black and white, offer the gift of a fresh interpretation with every gaze. Her subjects take center stage, unburdened by distractions, allowing the sheer beauty of her remarkable pieces to shine.
