Artist, Sachin Sagare : “I like to use simple elements from nature like flowers, early morning sunlight, women in their colourful hues.”

Sachin Sagare takes us on a journey into the multifaceted world of women. Inspired by the role of women in our society, Sachin brings the myriad expressions, and sometimes the unexpressed voice through his artwork. A student of Abhinav Kala Mahavidhyalay, Pune and Dalvis Art Institute, Kolhapur, Sachin’s work is real, simple and at times fiercely honest.

"I believe over the years one has tried to express environment artistically through multiple mediums. This environment is usually the one that inspires and nurtures an artists’ creative expressions. For me it has been the women that I have grown up with and the different roles that I have seen them portray in their lives – mother, daughter, sister, wife or lover. While growing up, I have seen these women work hard for their families with much grace and simplicity. They carried both simple and difficult tasks of hard labour at home with an unsaid ease of duty. My artwork is dedicated to these women who have silently dedicated lives for their families. I like to use simple elements from nature like flowers, early morning sunlight, women in their colourful hues, the temple place, and the rush before the main puja. I also work with a lot of bedecked women in singles, doubles and multiples."
