When corporate lawyer, Prakash Raja, inherited his parents’ house, the decision to rebuild from the ground up was so that it could adapt to the evolving needs of his multi-generation family. When his family home was gifted to him after he got married, Prakash Raja thought the time was right to rebuild it from scratch and turn it into a cosy yet functional abode for his parents, wife and two young sons.

This 10,680 sqft residence proposed with the concept of villa embraces Indian ethos with an interesting mix in a modern setting. The concept follows the principles of Vastu, the ancient Indian science of energy flow and the region’s climatic conditions, where the requirement was to create five bedrooms, living room, a private family room, a kitchen, a dining space, home theatre and gym.
