When a couple in their 60s envisioned their ideal abode, they wanted a home that reflected their penchant for travel and balanced the traditional and contemporary. Purvi Shah, principal architect, Purvi Shah Interiors, was enlisted to transform their three-bedroom at Hilltop Road in Worli, South Mumbai, into an abode replete with pastel colours and a curation of painting, artefacts, and furniture from their personal collection.

It showcases the true essence of royalty in the form of a Rajasthani theme perfectly blended with contemporary designs. Architects at Work play with materials and patterns to create a high-on-ornamentation albeit functional living environment. The site was a bare shell with exposed RCC surfaces. The Client and the Principals at Architects at Work decided to retain the concrete expanses and continue with that idea.

Nivim is an expansive country house in Goa meant to rediscover the quiet luxury found in nature. Perched on a lush slope amongst tropical trees, Nivim is a ‘Gold’ certified green building by the Indian Green Building Council, the first in Goa.

Magnolia is a duplex penthouse situated in the heart of Bangalore city. The house is designed to feel like an oasis that exudes serenity and tranquility. A 4,600-square-foot space that is planned to have a natural flow and a seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces.

Vaulted ceilings, magnified terrazzo floors, and cobalt blue staircases – at first glance, it is the many striking elements like these which stand out in the Nagpal Residence by Treelight Design Studio.
