The clients wanted a home that’s sophisticated and modern that led us to conceptualize the project in a rich contemporary theme with a material palette of stone, metal, and mirror that complement each other making an expansive abode.

The client came to us with a very specific requirement of having his entire house pet friendly and keeping it simple, so we immediately came up with idea of keeping it minimalistic and playing with the basic colour palette of black and white with a tinch of gold to add luxury to the entire space.

This twenty year old townhouse in Bangalore is an evocative repository of culture and memory. It is layered with art and antiques that embody an ethos of tropical modernism in the most authentic fashion. Seemingly suspended in time, the home is a crossover between restoration and gut renovation – spreading across the second floor and terrace level of an old building tucked away in the quiet streets of Indiranagar.

A warm and laid-back home filled with earthy textures. The interiors feature a modest colour palette that revolves around warm and neutral tones. This home is a breath of fresh air, fusing traditional elements in a modern yet minimalistic set-up. Maintaining the crisp, au-natural colour scheme across the home, the client wanted a laid-back home.

The welcome challenge at hand was to unite a plethora of spatial requirements with the blueprint and a budget-sensitive proposition. The original shell of the builder-grade apartment was resolved in sections to achieve a cohesive floor plan that was responsive to the needs of the family.

Located on a quiet residential street in New Delhi, India, an Impressive Circular Aperture within a square Brick screen dominates ‘Safdarjang Residence’, a family house by AKDA studio. The Intricate façade is deeply inspired by Louis Kahn‘s work — which left a permanent mark on the Architecture of the Indian subcontinent; a somber, monumental, yet calm monolithic style.

Of the many adjectives that come to mind when one walks into the sumptuously stylish Marine Drive apartment of Cecilia Morelli and Rohan Parikh—sweeping, striking, inviting, vibrant—khichdi is not one. Yet Cecilia references the desi dish, as well as the French slang word bordel (chaos) to describe her recently renovated home.
